Writer's Block: Ten for the Tenth

I'm stealing Gemmas idea here and forcing myself to write about something other than how much I suck.

Some people spend their whole lives preparing the answer to this question: What albums are on your personal all-time Top 10 list?

These aren't really in any particular order, although number one is definitely number one.

1. Sigur Ros - Takk...
Pretty much everything Sigur Ros do is incredibly beautiful, but I firmly believe that Takk.. is the greatest album I will ever hear. Ever. Whenever I'm stressing out or feeling absolutely miserable, I play this album and my entire body melts. I can't listen to Sigur Ros while driving, because every time I listen to them I just have to close my eyes and lay back, taking it all in and exploding a little. I could go on and on about how fantastic I think Sigur Ros are, but I won't, I'm just going to go listen to this album instead. I suggest you all do the same.

2. Gotye - Like Drawing Blood
It was hard to choose between this and Boardface, because they're both great albums, but Like Drawing Blood has more memories behind it. One of the best being seeing Gotye perform Hearts A Mess live. Me and Aly pretty much clung to each other and wept. Best concert moment EVER. I swear Hearts a Mess and Thanks For Your Time were written just for me.

3. Radiohead - OK Computer
This album was pretty much the soundtrack to my angsty teenage years. It's one of those rare albums where it's hard to pick a favourite track, because they're all so amazing.

4. Gomez - Liquid Skin
I used to think this was the greatest album ever, that was until I realised it wasn't. But I still think it's fantastic. It's just so smooth and relaxing. The perfect album to listen to on a lazy summers day.

5. Kings of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak
This album is the soundtrack to any decent summer day I've had. It's also the perfect cd to have on a road trip.

9. Damien Rice - 9
Beautiful. When I first got this album I had it on repeat for days.

6. Air - Moon Safari

7. Presets - Beams

8. Beck - Midnite Vultures

10. Dandy Warhols - Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia
This is a bit of a random one, but I was just looking through all my music trying to work out which album would be the last to make it to this prestigious list, and I realised what a good album this is. That is all.

Okay so I kinda slacked off at the end there, but I am exhausted and need sleep. There's probably a few albums that should have been on here, and a few that should not, but I don't really care, and I'm pretty sure no one is reading this, so there you have it.
